Are you a twitter?

When I ask that I typically get this response “What? what is a twitter?” I then will stumble on my own words because twitter is such a hard thing to explain and it’s even harder to find a way to explain so people would understand it.

If you don’t know what twitter is … well let me TRY to explain it to you. Twitter is a 140 character blog or status manager or a advertising tool, hmm … that might have confused you. Basically Twitter allows you to post something within 140 characters with a mobile phone(SMS), IM(AIM, GTalk, etc), Website, and Thru anything that utilizes their API(something that allows them to be used as a plugin to something). So you can post on twitter that you just found the hottest deal at the store your at … or you can post about how much traffic sux … while your in traffic! I kinda use it as a universal tool for everything. I put up my status like what I am doing or how I am feeling. I will even post responses to other peoples tweets … so you can use as chat tool also. A chat tool that has no limit on response time … which is nice cause you don’t have to wait around then … just do it on your time.

Twitter is free and the fact that they have a simple question to get you started “What are you doing?” makes it easy to post and you have many methods to send a tweet in to twitter so again they have made it so easy for you there is no reason why you can’t make a post on twitter.

If you want to check out my twitter page click here –> http://www.twitter.com/digitalknk or on this page I have my last few tweets  that you can see on the top of the sidebar.
