I notice a lot of people are still coming to the site for the accordion video I made for Mootools.
I have a question and please answer it in the comments if you can.
Are you having trouble understanding the example/directions given to you at thhe Mootools website?
I am just curious on why people are still searching for that mootools effect. Also I am curious because I have stopped working on the mootools video because I thought people lost interest in it. If people are still interested in it. Please let me know and I will produce a up to date version of the video.
Thank you and don’t be shy to comment

Sorry for the anonymous name… I’m really interested, but in a hurry.
PS — I find the docs hard to understand too!
A Mootools + RoR video would rock - do it!
Hi I am interested in the video. No matter what mootools effect I try I always have trouble with the docs. They are incomplete. This is my first time with the accordian. So to be on the safe side all I did was create a new htm file with a xhtml doc type, then copy all the code from the demo page and paste it into its appropriate spot. This did not work and the result was everything was open and the links were useless. The docs are more geared to programmers and I do understand them but, if the simple demo example is faulty the docs are now help.
Thanks
Well I am going to create a Updated Video then and after that I WILL create a video that will incorporate Mootools with Ruby on Rails.
I didn’t realize the Docs on the site were so hard to understand. I have noticed it but I didn’t expect it to be so many people.
Not referencing this from the comments here but from research on the net. So give me a few weeks I will be posting a new video on that and others.
I’ve been trying to figure out these mootools from their site and the cnet clientside side (which is slightly easier) but I’m still frustrated and confused. I’d love to see your video.
Thanks,
RP
Still working on the videos. Life is just so complex sometimes.
Hey,
The mootools website gives a great reference of the function, but no real help on how to implement. I tried to copy their code directly to a page on my website, but it didn’t work.
I checked out your video, but it doesn’t seem to match the mootools website - do they have a newer version of the accordion that has different features?
Anyways, an updated tutorial would be much appreciated.
BTW, good job on the first video, although it was a little slow - I guess it was geared towards people who don’t know any web development.
Thanks!
mitsa.
Mitsa, I am actually working on a reversion of my tutorial first in text form and then video form. I should be done with the text form either tonight( a few hours) or tomorrow. This weekend I will rap up the video hopefully.
Might have a special bonus as well who knows.
You are right these videos geared for low level web developers … or people who just like to learn at their own pace.
I was looking for an accordion script and had recently seen that moo-tools had one included (depending on your build options).
The trouble is that even copying the demo code verbatim including the css/html/js file it just wouldn’t work.
I came across your site when looking for a valid implementation example.
It would be nice if you could just make available the source code for the example you use. Then it would make the tutorial video easier to follow
