So I received my Amazon Kindle on the 22nd of January and I have enjoyed it since. But I have come to find out that I have received a defected Kindle. This seems to be a rare but known problem I am having with the kindle. My kindle will not hold it’s charge more then 24 hours even with the wireless off and it turned off while I am sleeping. It really is frustrating. I been working on writing up a review on it like the rest of the Kindle owners but it’s kinda hard when I am using it and it kinda just poops out on me.

I spoke to an Amazon.com Customer Representative today which I have to say was the easiest support call I have had since god who knows when. I went to the Amazon website clicked on Contact Us click on the button to have them call me within seconds I was on the phone with someone which was prepared to help me as soon as I picked up the phone …. AMAZing! Well by the end of the conversation I had with the rep on the phone they decided to put my inquiry on expedite status because they did see that my Kindle was having issues they weren’t sure what the problem was BUT they would send out a brand new kindle out.So I am currently the Kindle Ordered and will do my work with it as much as I can till I receive the new one, but I have to say Amazon has done a great job with the Kindle and their customer support.
UPDATE: Never got an email about my new Kindle but checked out the Amazon Kindle site by accident and well there is shows You purchased this item on January 28, 2008. There you go already have my order processed but they are giving me a shipping estimation of February 27th which is a month away. Now I don’t mind using this Kindle that I have now till then but my Techie side is saying I want it now! I am happy they have been able to process it so quickly. Once again Amazon proves they truly care about their customers.
