New website and Open Source Project!

Hey I am working on a new website called Phoky. What is Phoky? Well it’s a photo image hosting website without all the fluff (at least for now ). The website should go live sometime this weekend and the great thing about this project is that I will be open sourcing it on github. The project and site will be released under NerdRocket which is my development/consulting company.

The project is being developed on Ruby on Rails 2.1.0 and because of Ruby on Rails I have been able to develop it so quickly.

Right now I am pulling an all nighter wrapping up the design of the project. I will not sleep till it is released . I plan on running some local tests; soon after that I will be uploading it to the Phoky website. Some time next week I will upload the project to github so anyone can grab a copy.

This will be one of the many projects to be released under the NerdRocket name.
