I have abandon my T-mobile Dash once more for the LG CU500 I got awhile ago. Someone did ask how did I manage getting the Tzones to work on the phone. This is what I did to make it work.

I know it’s a lot of steps but after all that the internet will work and Java applications should work. Currently they are not working for me but when I did use the phone prior to me switching over again Java applications worked. So YMMV 
. Now to figure out how to get my N800 to link thru bluetooth so I can have mobile internet. :-D

I decided to do what I have been planning to do for a very long time. Separate personal and business. So now DigitalKNK will now be a complete personal blog which I will do a change over in a week maybe less. Jon for Rent will be my technology blog in which I will not blog everyday but on a weekly basis. DigitalKNK will be used as my aggregator for everything from Jaiku posts to random pictures from my cell phone so the site will be VERY active and much more on a personal level then before.So after this post you will not see anymore personal posts on this site . Nokia has finally put out the full specs and some pictures of their n800 replacement the n810. It does looks pretty clean few things I don’t like about it but if I ever plan to get it I can adjust pretty quickly to it. Things I don’t like about it? The D-pad … its on the slide out keyboard … not on the device itself now I can understand why they did that. You typing away on the new built in keyboard and you might need the D-pad its easier to access it right near the keyboard then have to move your hand all over the place to use it. The other thing is the Camera I really did like the fact that I could move the camera around, now I haven’t seen or read anything about a 2nd camera but I am hoping they have added a 2nd camera and just haven’t told anyone about it just yet.
Overall great improvment to to the N800 I would have given it a different name something like n850 or n900 … I don’t know how Nokia comes up with their model numbers. If your looking for a portable device that is smaller then a laptop but has almost the same (I am saying almost 
) as a notebook then look into a Nokia Internet Tablet (n800 or n810).

Everyone likes music! Right? Well this is why I am giving away a subscription to eMusic for a year. What’s it include? For the year you get 15 tracks every month to download. That’s a total of 180 tracks for the entire year. For Free!
I am not affiliated with eMusic in any way except that I use their service and have been a happy user up until now.
What is eMusic? Well, eMusic is an music distributing service like iTunes but without the DRM (Digital Right Management), they have a good amount of tracks also over 2 million now I am sure their over 2.5 million but I have not been keeping track to be honest. They also recently got into selling audio books without any DRM good collection about over 1000 or will be by the end of the year. One of the great things about eMusic that I personally like is that most of the music they offer is 256kbps VBR (Variable Bit Rate), which is better then some of the offerings from other music downloading services. At least I know the music I download from there is free from restrictions and a great quality.
Also included with the subscription is an RCA 512mb MP3 player, now I know that everyone and their moms have an iPod but this is kinda like a backup or a side mp3 player for anything you want it to be. So even if you don’t want it you got to take it.
How can you have a chance to get in this giveaway? Well this is how. Comment(with a valid email address) or a track back with what/why you like about music. No real rules except two, USA only … Unless your willing to risk the time it will take to ship the package to your country outside of the USA and only one of your comments or Track-backs will count. I went to the Eff.org Bootcamp yesterday which was great! I learned a whole lot about technology law and was shocked about how the law worked with technology. I also realized how much Eff.org cares about our rights. The bootcamp really openned my eyes to the organization that have going.
The bootcamp was well worth it and if they have another one I will do my very best to attend. I recommend anyone that is planning to or is running a technology based company to join the bootcamps and donate to the Eff.org because you never know if your going to need their assistance one day.
I met a lot of people that work for companies that have services I use all the time. It was interesting to talk to them and even able to give them some of my ideas for the services they offer. It’s always better to talk to them in person then with an email, at least you know they have to listen to you then .
So it was a great experience and possibly meet some new friends.
I am heading out to the EFF Bootcamp tomorrow which should be an awesome experience and great opportunity for me to get some great knowledge of the laws revolving around the whole Web 2.0 as well as meet some great interesting people.
If by chance you read my blog and your going to be there let me know, we can go out for lunch or something when the lunch break comes up.
