Mootools Accordion Help?!?!

September 10th, 2007

I notice a lot of people are still coming to the site for the accordion video I made for Mootools.

I have a question and please answer it in the comments if you can.

Are you having trouble understanding the example/directions given to you at thhe Mootools website?

I am just curious on why people are still searching for that mootools effect. Also I am curious because I have stopped working on the mootools video because I thought people lost interest in it. If people are still interested in it. Please let me know and I will produce a up to date version of  the video.

Thank you and don’t be shy to comment :D .

Social Network sites are everywhere but there

June 11th, 2007

So like most of the people out there I too have a myspace profile but I haven’t really every used it. Myspace hasn’t been my thing since it came out. I always had a better idea for a networking community and myspace is way off that for me. I see myspace as a dating site more then anything. A lot of people I know go there to hook up or “spy” on what their girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse are up to.

Which Social networking site do I like? Well I used to use Tribe.net but that got a little to messy for me. I still go on there but not as much as I used to. I am on Facebook and have been since they allowed me to sign up. I truly love facebook and the way it is setup this is how I have envisioned a social networking community. Are you on Facebook? If not you should be! and if you are you can join me to your friends list if you like what interests and groups I am joined into.

Check it out :) .

What’s your favorite Social Network site and why?

New Phone! Didn’t I just get a new one?

June 5th, 2007

I am a phone addict … seriously I have owned about 7 phones … that’s a lot of phones considering I have only had cell service for a total of 5 years but only recently have I been going crazy with the phones. That’s one of the bad things about having a GSM provider unlike a CDMA where they lock your devices and you can’t freely change like you can with a GSM provider.

Is Flickr the only choice?

May 30th, 2007

Flickr … I use it to host my photographs … not all of them but most of them. I still have about 2,000+ pictures to upload but before I do this I wanted to know if anyone can suggest a photo hosting that allows me to have full control of my photos and how I use them. For example I would like to sell some of my photographs and only show smaller versions of it or maybe just have the option to sell it on print. Also private and public viewing so family and friends can see it only. Hmm, what else … oh yeah an API or some way I can upload the picture without having to do it thru the web interface … that’s just a pain. That’s just a few of my example I would like.

I really like Flickr but I am just very curious if there is anything out there that is even remotely close to Flickr.

I have found these services and would like to look into them … has anyone used these and would you recommend any of them? Anything I haven’t listed maybe?

Zoto
Zooomr (I am really considering this one right now except they have shut everyone out right now while they are working on the new version of the site)
Fotki
Smugmug
ipernity

OR should I create my own? I really would like something that is taken care of professionally instead of having to manage it all the time.

Just so you know I have about 10 Gigs of Photos I have taken along with some of my Girlfriends pictures so … yea space can be a problem with some services.

HOWTO: Ruby on Rails on your Nokia N800

May 27th, 2007

I got a few emails asking me how I did it. So why not do a HOWTO on the site right?

It’s pretty simple but I have yet to see a howto on this at least one that goes from start to end. I thought I do it even at the risk of repeating someone else instructions. I know I will have these here for myself and anyone else that might need to know how to do it.

First make sure you have the latest firmware for your Nokia N800. Now I did this on a N800 I have never touched a N770 but I am sure if you have the hacked 2007 OS then this howto will apply for that as well. So you will need the latest IT OS 2007. Read more…
